Meet the Teach!

Jami Cardwell Program Director Teacher

Teaching is really personal to me because it’s shaped by both my classroom experience and my life at home. I’m a mom of four—through biological, adoptive, and foster care—which has given me a deep understanding that every child is unique and learns differently.

Raising neurodivergent children has especially influenced how I teach. I’ve seen how important movement, exploration, and hands-on learning are, so I create an environment where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

I’ve taught kindergarten through 5th grade in public schools. I hold Missouri teaching certifications (Birth–6th), a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Missouri, additional graduate coursework, and I’m LETRS-certified in structured literacy.

My goal is simple: to help kids—especially those who struggle with reading—build confidence through clear, supportive instruction, while making learning something they truly enjoy.

Love—Mrs. Cardwell
